THE WEIGHT OF THE DAY
Away from here over there
The dusk lasts the day
The day is always ended
The work is already done.
Here the sunrise smashes the dusk
While the day is spent gathering
pebbles and stones
from the wild that threatens the rim
The evening pushes in
A concrete roller
Over the night discharging tar
Thick and heavy, it flattens
my head and my heart
The weight of the day squashes me
Even while you sleep
Please
find me buried under roads of time.
